The Department of Philosophy at Concordia University is pleased to host Angela Mendelovici on Friday, January 24th, 2020 as part of its Speaker Series.

Speaker: Angela Mendelovici is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Western University. She works in philosophy of mind.

Title: Phenomenal Intentionality and the Content of Thought

Abstract: This talk presents and defends the phenomenal intentionality theory (PIT), according to which all intentionality—roughly, the “aboutness” or “directedness” of mental states and other items—is ultimately a matter of phenomenal consciousness. Learn more.
