Hydro-Québec Fellowship / Bourse d’études Hydro-Québec

The Department of Philosophy at Concordia University is pleased to offer a
Hydro-Québec Fellowship in connection with its MA program. The fellowships
is of the amount of $14,000 ($2,333/term).
Eligibility: candidates must be Québec residents. They are required to
have a minimum CGPA of 3.7/4.0 (A-) in all university studies.
Pending enrollments and budget, the successul candidate will be offered
two Teaching Assistantships (one in the Fall Semester and one in the
Winter Semeter) in addition to the Hydro-Quebec Fellowship. The typical
terms of the contract for a Teaching Assistantship are approximately
$3,000 for 130 hours of work. The job of a Teaching Assistant involves
teaching as well as marking.
Deadline: Applications will be accepted until May 1, 2012.

The application should include:
1. Application for Admission Form. This form is available online at the
above website.
2. Official transcripts of all previous university studies. Official
transcripts are not required for Concordia undergraduate students.
3. Three letters of reference. The form to be used by the applicant’s
referees can be found online
4. Statement of purpose (500 words).
5. Writing sample (10-15 pages).
