Justin Smith – The Sudden Transformation of a Strained Expectation into Nothing’: Kant on Jokes

If March was relatively quiet for MRAAW, April promises to be much more exciting. Indeed, with presentations from Justin Smith, Iain Macdonald, and Jean-Marie Schaeffer, we should have much to occupy our minds with.

All of this begins this Thursday April 9th at 8pm on the 4th floor of the Thomson House (3650 Mctavish) with Justin Smith’s presentation ” ‘The Sudden Transformation of a Strained Expectation into Nothing’: Kant on Jokes.” A draft of his presentation is available through this link to his site: http://www.jehsmith.com/philosophy/2009/04/kant-on-jokes.html Take into consideration, however, that the content of Thursday’s presentation may differ from what is announced on that site.
