The Montreal Interuniversity Workshop in the History of Philosophy, is proud to present:

Lukas Mühletaler (Yale University)
“IBN KAMMUNA ON THE PRE-ETERNITY OF THE HUMAN SOUL”
Tuesday, 11 November, 6-8pm.

The meeting will take place at the Thomson House of McGill University, 3650 McTavish Street, just north of Doctor Penfield Ave., Room 403.

Ibn Kammuna, a Jewish philosopher, was one of the most important Arabic philosophers of the 13th century. Lukas’s work focuses on what Ibn Kammuna considered his main original contribution to philosophy: the proof that the human soul is eternal a parte ante.

Ibn Kammuna, un philosophe juif, est un des philosophes arabes les plus importants du 13eme siècle. Le travail de Lukas analyse ce qui Ibn Kammuna a considéré sa contribution originale principale à la philosophie: la preuve que l’âme humaine est éternelle a parte ante.
