[mptw] MPTW double feature: Joseph Carens and Jennifer Nedelsky

Dear MPTW friends,

Here are the details for our double fetaure on next Friday, March 30th:

– Prof. Jennifer Nedelsky (Toronto) will present the attached paper at the McGill Law School Legal Workshop series at 11:30 in Room 202 (3644 Peel, on the corner of Dr. Penfield). She will be speaking on a chapter, “Violence Against Women: Challenges to the Liberal State and Relational Feminism”, which is drawn from a book project. She will speak briefly to introduce and
frame her project, which Robert Leckey (McGill) will comment before the floor willl be opened up to a broader discussion.

– Joseph Carens (Toronto) will present his attached paper at the MPTW series, at the McGill Faculty Club (McTavish St.) in the Old McGill room. Note that the presentation will take place at 2:15, so that people can also attend Jennifer Nedelsky’s talk. The title of Prof. Caren’s presentation is “Live-In Domestics, Seasonal Workers, Foreign Students and Others Hard to Locate on the Map”.

Chers ami-e-s de l’Atelier de philo politique de Montréal,

Pour sa prochaine activité, l’atelier présentera un programme double le vendredi 30 mars:

– Jennifer Nedelsky de l’Université de Toronto présentera le texte ci-joint, au McGill Law School Legal Workshop series à 11 h 30, Salle 202 (3644 Peel, coin Dr. Penfield). Le texte est un chapitre intitulé “Violence Against Women: Challenges to the Liberal State and Relational Feminism”. tiré de son projet de livre. Elle présentera le texte que Robert Leckey (McGill)
commentera, pour ensuite faire place à la discussion.

– Joseph Carens de l’Université de Toronto présentera son texte en annexe à l’Atelier de philo politique de Montréal, au Faculty Club de McGill sur McTavish (Old McGill room). Veuilles noter que la présentation aura lieu à 2 h 15, afin de permettre aux personnes intéressées de participer aux deux conférences. Le titre du texte de Joseph Carens est “Live-In Domestics, Seasonal Workers,
Foreign Students and Others Hard to Locate on the Map”.
